A performance of Handel's great choral masterpiece. The choir and soloists will be accompanied by Sinfonia Smith Square. Conductor Nicholas O'Neill will give a pre-concert talk about the music at 6pm.

Handel himself has been quoted as saying "I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God himself". Handel draws on all his experience as an opera composer to create a work full of drama and life, light and shade, that appeals to believers and non-believers alike.
