The Stoke pub is a traditional Gothic building that has been decorated in contemporary style, with wood panelling, neutral blue and white walls, a wooden horseshoe-shaped bar and a scattering of chalkboards listing the latest food and drink offers; not to mention it even has its own wood-fired pizza oven! The building was originally erected in 1840 under the name the Lodge and was licensed as the Stoke Hotel in 1870, taking its name from the road upon which it stands.
