The Guildford Model Engineering Society was founded in 1954 with the objectives of “promoting fellowship between members, developing, encouraging and providing facilities for the hobby of model engineering including the construction and operation of models of all kinds including tools, apparatus and equipment to any scale”.
In 1958 the Society moved to Burchatts Farm, Stoke Park, Guildford, which has been leased from Guildford Borough Council ever since. On 1st April 1983 the Society became a “Private Company Limited by Guarantee”.
The Stoke Park Railway at GMES is a popular venue for children’s birthday parties and family or other celebrations. We provide exclusive use of the trains on our ground level miniature passenger-carrying railway for up to three hours and we also offer the use of the clubhouse and grounds for your own catering and other activities.

Grayshott Social Club is regularly enjoyed by over 530 members and their guests who fortunately discovered it tucked away on Hill Road, just a short walk from the village centre. The Club has grown over the last 100 years or more to form the social hub of the local community, providing superb facilities and entertainment.
Established in 1905 we are a member of the Club & Institutes Union and a registered Friendly Society In 2016 the Club’s ‘community’ status was recognised by the Parish Council and the Club building and its lands added to the list of Grayshott Community Assets.

Guildford Rugby Club is wonderful, modern rugby club near Godalming and Guildford with a thriving range of rugby teams for adults and juniors. There are both female and male teams to suit all levels and abilities. The ground itself has several pitches, multi-use training area and a fantastic club house with space for hire for weddings, functions and other events.
