West Horsley Place is a Grade I listed mediaeval manor house and estate of great beauty and historic significance. The manor house dates from 1425, though there has been a building on site since Saxon times. The house is currently on Historic England’s Heritage At Risk Register and along with the outbuildings is in a very bad state of repair.
The Mary Roxburghe Trust aims to restore the house, gardens, 380-acre estate and 8 Grade II listed outbuildings to create a vibrant centre for the performing and visual arts and the teaching of crafts. After 1000 years of private ownership West Horsley Place will be reborn as a place for everyone to enjoy, whether as a visitor to the house or garden or as a student learning a new craft. There is a great history to be discovered, and a new role for this grand old house to play in its community.

South Farnham School stands on two sites sitting, as the name suggests, south of Farnham. The infants are taught at the Bourne site and the juniors in Menin Way.
It was built to a high standard in 1938 as a girls’ Grammar School and has been significantly modified for younger children in recent years.
The accommodation includes 5 libraries, a music block and 4 practical rooms. There is both an assembly hall, two studios, gymnasium, cloakrooms and changing rooms. The 7 acres of play area include 3 multi-use games areas, grassed sports fields and pavilion.
Students at GSA have access to purpose-built studios and tutorial rooms within the GSA building and across the University campus. The fully-equipped studio spaces are fitted with sprung floors and ballet bars. Students will have the opportunity to train and practice in the 220 seat Bellairs Theatre, 80 seat Rex Doyle Studio and 80 seat PATS building.
Productions are predominantly staged in the Ivy Arts Centre on campus. The Ivy houses a 200-seat theatre and 50-seat studio space, as well as dance studios and rehearsal rooms.
GSA productions are also presented in theatres and venues in and around Guildford and London. These venues include the renowned Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, The Mill Studio and The Electric Theatre in Guildford, and various venues in London’s West End including the Shaftesbury Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre and the Soho Theatre.

In January 2020 we fulfilled a long-held ambition to move into a new long-term home. Following a three-year campaign to find a suitable venue we are pleased to have moved into two buildings on the fringes of Stoke Park in Guildford.
The solution has come in the form a 10-year lease of The GreenArk on Lido Road and the former Astolat Bowls Pavilion, a hundred metres away. The GreenArk will be GSC’s main rehearsal and classes space, whilst the Astolat will serve as an education venue and our administrative office. As part of the agreement with GBC, GSC will continue to manage the community use of the GreenArk.
