Art & Grind is an independent art cafe that aims to bring out the artist in everyone. Our primary mission is to serve the local artists and art-loving community with the opportunity to explore what art means to them while enjoying treats straight from the ovens of local bakeries and exceptional craft roasts sourced from Surrey-based Copper Coffee Roasters.

Art & Grind is not merely a gallery or a coffee shop - it is a sanctuary for art enthusiasts, a place where everyone is welcome to immerse themselves in the arts. Here, you can become a creator yourself, taking part in workshops and classes led by the very artists whose work adorns our walls. Or, you can up a brush, pen or other tool and explore your own artistic journey, unlocking hidden talents you may never have known existed.

The Stoke pub is a traditional Gothic building that has been decorated in contemporary style, with wood panelling, neutral blue and white walls, a wooden horseshoe-shaped bar and a scattering of chalkboards listing the latest food and drink offers; not to mention it even has its own wood-fired pizza oven! The building was originally erected in 1840 under the name the Lodge and was licensed as the Stoke Hotel in 1870, taking its name from the road upon which it stands.
