Bringing world-class classical music to intimate and beautiful venues throughout the Surrey Hills in May each year.

The 2023 programme included Tenebrae at Holy Trinity in Guildford, Julian Bliss Quintet performing Hollywood jazz at RHS Wisley, cellist Gary Hoffman & pianist Wu Qian and the Sitkovetsky Trio at The Menuhin Hall in Cobham – plus guided walks and young artist performances at West Horsley Place and St James’ Church in Shere. See https://shimf.co.uk for full brochure.

Haslemere, situated in South West Surrey, has long been an important centre for music-making. Its chamber music society, HHH Concerts, presents a season of concerts in St Christopher’s Church, Wey Hill, Haslemere, GU27 1DD, a building with wonderful acoustics.

HHH Concerts was founded as the Haslemere, Hindhead and Headley Music Club in January 1934. Concerts at that time took place in members’ homes – typically these had large music rooms. Its change of name in 1993 marked a shift in style from an intimate club to a society promoting public concerts. Its aim is for music-lovers to hear outstanding performances locally, and to provide opportunities to young professional musicians.

Our aim is to offer training, and thereby to create opportunities, for talented young musicians who plan to make chamber music an important part of their career.

Each year we provide four residential courses which are completely free for the participants. They last for approximately ten days and are held in a beautiful converted barn in the heart of the Surrey countryside.

Aidan Woodcock, who founded the Trust in 2006, was a member of the London Symphony Orchestra.  Music, in particular chamber music, was the great passion of his life and many of today’s professional musicians owe him an incalculable debt for the opportunities and encouragement he gave them. Aidan died in 2016 but his legacy lives on in the work of this charity.
