As part of their Centenary Celebrations Godalming Operatic Society are mounting an exhibition at Godalming Museum from Wednesday 13th November to Saturday 30th November. The Society was founded in 1924 and their first production was Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Yeomen of the Guard in 1925. Since its foundation the Society has been at the forefront of the town’s rich musical heritage. The exhibition will feature people who have done much to ensure the Society’s success over the years. Other highlights will include its links with Charterhouse, the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company and performances at International Festivals.
The museum, located at 109a High St is open Tuesday to Saturday 1000am to 4.00pm.
