Using wheel throwing and hand building techniques, Ros changes the shape of some forms during the making, so that they have relationships with other pieces in the same ‘family’. She uses porcelain, stoneware and earthenware, with a muted palette of slips and glazes. She is interested in the hierarchy of materials – from flowerpot clay, to dinner service clay, to precious metals.
