Pippa Ward is an environmental artist working with found plastics. Her concerns are the amount of this ubiquitous material in our environment, particularly in our waters. Her work uses the material to express her hopes, dreams and fears about the subject, and to promote discussion and change.

Pippa finds the plastic fragments on beaches mainly in the UK but abroad. She collects, rinses and then arranges the pieces to express an idea.

Plastic Sucks ... multiple discarded straws found on beaches.

Torrent of Abuse ... used bottle caps arranged to 'gush' out of a pipe.

The Dark Tide ... found black beach plastic including figure of Darth Vader on a depiction of a Maunsell Fort

Coral Reef ... found beach plastic arranged as if it is 'floating' and also to resemble a scientific plate.
