We're operated by HQ Theatres & Hospitality, which provides quality entertainment and dining, conferencing and banqueting opportunities at venues across the south of England. HQ Theatres is part of the Qdos Entertainment group.

From the beginning The Ewhurst Players have always been a “company”. A company that was part of the Community in which they lived. They have always been prepared to put on performances to raise funds for village events. Each year the members give generously from their own funds to both local and national charities. From the beginning The Players have supported the Village Hall itself, both financially, and on many occasions, practically, by decorating, updating and improving the the Hall which is, after all, the home of the company. The early players helped to improve and refurbish the Green Room area. They have installed both a fine lighting and sound system which is also used by other organisations and users of the Hall. It is no wonder that The Ewhurst Players have a loyal committed audience who support them just as The Players support their village community.

Currently under the directorship of Joanna Read, the theatre presents a mixed year-round production schedule that includes an annual pantomime. Its scenery workshop builds for Glyndebourne, the Royal Shakespeare Company and Chichester Festival Theatre. A youth department offers regular productions in the Mill Studio and an annual summer musical on the main stage.The wider theatre space is used for arts and functional purposes including art exhibitions and the annual film season feature, and includes a restaurant and bar.
The Mill Studio
Originally the eighteenth-century Town Mill building housed the theatre's workshops. The studio opened in 1993 as a base for the Youth Theatre's activities. In 1997, a National Lottery grant was used to upgrade the facilities, enabling expansion in audience capacity and the range of productions presented.
