Founded some twenty years ago to encourage the love of serious music especially amongst the young, we provide live music in different genres performed by highly gifted professional artistes, many of whom have international recognition.   Probably no other local venue provides such recitals on a regular basis throughout the year and at a very reasonable expense.

We are one of the longest established choirs in England, and have built up a reputation as a dynamic, forward-looking and ambitious amateur choir.

With over 140 auditioned members, all sharing a passion for singing and a drive to achieve high standards, we rehearse on Thursday evenings in Guildford to work towards presenting four or five concerts each year.

Guildford Chamber Choir was founded in 1980 with the express aim of performing choral music of the finest quality from the 16th century to the present day. Over the years the choir has remained loyal to this aim, gaining an enviable reputation both for the high standard of its singing and for performing varied and often unusual repertoire. As well as being at the forefront of Guildford music-making, the Guildford Chamber Choir’s reputation has stretched beyond the town and county boundaries.
