Nothing To Write Home About – A solo show by contemporary British painter, Jack Candy-Kemp.

Join us at New House Art Space for the opening night of Jack Candy-Kemp’s solo show Nothing To Write Home About. This is the first time this intimate body of work will be shown publicly.

A series of 18 ‘postcard’ sized paintings addressing the liminal spaces passed by during a four-hour car journey through Costa Rica.

Jack’s work is a response to the way we share imagery when travelling. The pool, cocktail glass, waterfall pose, and wildlife snaps have become part of our pantomime in the age of social media.

His aim is to create images that cause the audience to reflect on their own experiences without the need to pinpoint place and time.
