Gilbert & Sullivan’s Utopia, Limited
Escape the winter blues and while away an evening on a colourful tropical island, with Godalming Operatic Society’s production of Utopia, Limited at Godalming Borough Hall on February 18th-21st and at The Leatherhead Theatre on February 27th – 28th, evenings at 7:30 with a Saturday matinée at 2:30.
This rarely performed Gilbert & Sullivan gem is set in the South Sea island of Utopia. The King has decided that Utopia should modernise and adopt English ways and customs, with hilarious and unforeseen results.
Fully staged with spectacular scenery and costumes, and a 24-piece professional orchestra, the humour is just as fresh and relevant today as when it was first written.
